At Covent Garden Market, Holmes approaches Breckinridge as the dealer is closing his stall for the night. The geese are sold out, but Breckinridge says he could provide five hundred the next morning. When Holmes explains that someone recommended this particular shop, the dealer immediately asks who sent him there.

"The landlord of the Alpha."「アルファ亭の主人にです」
"Oh, yes; I sent him a couple of dozen."「ああ、あそこか、二ダース卸してやったよ」
