1. Sources of the English texts
- Works by アーサー・コナン・ドイル (Arthur Conan Doyle). We use the original English texts whose copyright protection has expired (public domain).
The English texts are based on editions digitized by volunteers at Project Gutenberg (gutenberg.org). We thank everyone involved in digitization. This service is not affiliated with or endorsed by Project Gutenberg.
2. Japanese translations, readings and word explanations
The Japanese translations, katakana readings, scene descriptions, word meanings and example sentences were created with AI for this service. We do not use existing published Japanese translations. Please contact us if you find an error.
3. Illustrations
The illustrations were created with image-generation AI for this service. Characters' appearances were independently defined for this service based on descriptions in the original texts. They are not based on illustrations from the original publications, film, television or anime adaptations, or real actors.
3-2. English text-to-speech
English speech uses the text-to-speech feature installed on your device or browser (Web Speech API). Voices such as Martha, Daniel and Google voices are supplied with devices and browsers by Apple, Google, Microsoft and others. This service does not create or distribute voice recordings. Available voices vary by device.
4. No affiliation
This service is operated by an individual. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the original authors' estates, copyright or trademark management organizations, publishers, or the creators or rights holders of adaptations. Titles and character names are used to identify the works.
5. Use of this service's text and images
Please do not reproduce or redistribute collections of the Japanese translations, readings, explanations, illustrations or screen designs outside this service. The original English texts may be obtained and used freely from Project Gutenberg and other sources.
